Hi, I'm Louise, and I've loved wallpaper for as long as I can remember. As a child, trips to B&Q with my mum, dad and sister, often ended with me sneaking a few too many wallpaper samples into my pockets. My favourite part of decorating our home was always the obligatory visit to FADS to flick through the sample books, dreaming up colour and pattern combinations. I even loved the smell of damp wallpaper as we would scrap off the old layers to make way for something new. That early love of pattern and design eventually led me to study Art and Design at university and has stayed with me ever since.
Over the years, that fascination grew into a real love for the wallpapers of the past. Each roll tells a story, a little snapshot of interiors gone by. What began as a small personal collection soon turned into a mission to rescue and share these forgotten designs, giving them a new life in period homes, restoration projects, or any space that celebrates character and individuality.
I started Vintage Wallpaper Professor to share my love of these timeless designs with others who appreciate a touch of nostalgia. Whether you're restoring a period property, creating a retro feature wall or just searching for that perfect roll to complete a room, I'm always happy to help you find the right piece.
