Did You Know?

Henrietta Spencer-Churchill founded her interior-design firm Woodstock Designs in 1981 and expanded into creating her own wallpapers and fabrics in collaboration with Marvic Textiles under Spencer-Churchill Designs from 1986. Her work is rooted in classical and historic interiors, and her wallpapers often draw on traditional architectural motifs adapted for modern living. Rather than producing mass-market collections, her designs were typically bespoke or project-specific, with Marvic manufacturing high-quality rolls to suit the period and character of each interior. Through her international commissions and her many published design books, she helped popularise a refined, heritage-inspired decorative style well into the late 20th century.
